OUR STORY

The cultural history of celebrating Juneteenth is much more than bringing Black communities together. Culturally significant events encourage entire communities to embrace the the power that exists in celebrating and recognizing the value in collectivism, diversity and solidarity.

Juneteenth Jam is the result of a community collective. Local non-profit organizations, volunteers, and partners come together to ensure the event is free and valuable to all. Juneteenth Jam was founded as a celebration of freedom, culture, and community in the Inland Empire. What began as a grassroots effort to honor Juneteenth has grown into a powerful annual event that brings together families, artists, athletes, educators, and changemakers.

Rooted in the spirit of liberation, Juneteenth Jam creates space for joy, reflection, and action, highlighting the resilience of our people and the importance of building healthier, more connected communities. Each year, we honor our history while planting seeds for a more vibrant and equitable future.
